Story Information

What's with elves and archery? I mean, seriously. Try to stand out a little, would you?

The daughter of an Elven elder. She fights using a bow.

Recruitment

After saving her from some guardsmen near Westcastle, she teaches you Elvish. She later joins after Stuck in the Middle With You.

Her first encounter can trigger only after you completed at least 5 quests.

Tactics

Bronwyn is a pure damage dealer. She boasts high speed and agility, and shines in single target damage, excellent for taking down bosses and dangerous enemies. Although her damage output is only moderate, her powerful set of skills deliver great indirect damage, which is just as powerful, often times even more.

What sets Bronwyn apart from other characters are her techniques, which allow her to constantly debuff enemies without the need of any special items or consumables. Although they're essentially different versions of the same thing (special arrows), the large variety of effects means that unlike most characters who specialize in one or two areas but struggle against at least one kind of enemy, she can effectively deal with just about any kind of enemy you find.

Once again, don't be fooled by her modest damage output. Poisoning an enemy, burning him or making him bleed can often be more effective than dealing direct damage. These stack, of course, which leads to devastating effects. Also keep in mind their effect is proportional to the enemies health, so the tougher the enemy, the stronger the effect.

It's obviously possible to add these effects to someone else's weapons. However she can deliver them far more effectively since you won't have to deal with buying or running out of supplies, or using up turns to apply them.

Her biggest weakness is her complete lack of AoE damage, meaning she will only be able to attack one target at a time which can often make fights against many enemies unnecessarily long. Since she has no way of generating momentum on her own (other than plain attacks), it does require a little bit of management to use her effectively.

Compared to the other main physical damage dealer, Elaiya, she deals less damage, though her debuffs will tip the scale in her favor on the early levels where Elaiya is rather weak. There's a fundamental difference in the way they deliver the damage, of course, as Elaiya hits directly and fast and is often able to kill enemies before they even get one attack, while Bronwyn's debuffs will take a few turns. However, although she's slower, Bronwyn doesn't need to act every turn to deal damage, which allows her free turns to heal or support other members of the party. Note that the choice isn't necessarily one or the other, as they can work well together.

In your party, she benefits from a dedicated healer and a tank. While she excels against tough targets, her techniques are less effective against numerous, even if weaker, targets, so any character that specializes in AoE damage complements her well.
