Strategy

Nothing much did change from the fight against Barst in Circle of Strife. If you can, keep him burned to counter his potions. He will get stronger as the fight goes on, so set up your party for high single-target damage. Since you can change your party after clearing the mine, you should take advantage of this. Since he is immune or resistant to most cc and dots, Gargan and Bronwyn are not the best choices. Elaiya shines, especially if she already knows Triple Barrage, or a combination of Larelle/Kyrie/Meline and Yeon/Felix to buff their magic stats. His life pool is lower than in Circle of Strife and you should have gained some more levels by now, so Barst should be managable with any party you like.
